Can Epitalon dosing studies guide your amount?
No. Most amounts came from animal tests, and human reports often used Epithalamin, so the papers can’t give you or your doctor a safe Epitalon plan for your own care.
What do the study amounts mean for you?
You’ll find that most reported amounts came from mice and rats, not people. Rodent tests often used 5-day shot rounds under the skin each month. The reports describe 4 to 40 micrograms per kilogram of mouse weight [4][6][7][9]. A mouse weighing 25 grams received roughly one tenth to one microgram in all.
Reports in older people usually studied Epithalamin, the cow-gland mix. They often used about 10 milligrams in each muscle shot, with 5 shots in one round [11]. Researchers checked melatonin, so you can’t read this as a test of longer life. They didn’t test whether people lived longer.
A small eye study used 5 micrograms in each eye for 10 straight days [13]. The people had an illness passed through families that slowly takes away sight. I’d circle one warning if these reports were on our table: study amounts aren’t personal instructions. No paper establishes a safe Epitalon amount for you.
How different were the animal plans?
You’ll see that the plans differed a lot. In 2002, Anisimov’s team put 1 microgram under each mouse’s skin for 5 straight days per month [4]. You can’t turn that mouse amount into your own. In 2003, another aging test started mice at age 3 months and used 1 microgram for 5 straight days each month [6].
Kossoy’s 2006 study treated 1-year-old female mice far more often. They got shots on 5 days each week for six-and-a-half months [7]. Vinogradova’s 2007 rat study used shots on 5 days each month [10]. You can’t get a safe amount for your body from those animal plans.
You’ll also find that reports about people used different material. Older people usually got Epithalamin, not pure Epitalon. The reports describe about 10 milligrams per muscle shot and 5 shots in a round [11]. The eye report used 5 micrograms per eye for 10 straight days [13], but neither report supplies a safe personal amount.

How was Epitalon given in the studies?
Most animal tests put Epitalon beneath the skin [4][6][7][8]. Reports about people used Epithalamin muscle shots [11]. Other animal work put Epitalon into the belly. Some Russian work used an Epithalamin nose spray. You can’t assume equal safety.
The eye report used 5 micrograms in each eye for 10 days [13]. Dish tests put Epitalon on loose cells [1][2][3]. Neither test gives you safe home steps. Researchers chose each method for a test, not for your care.
Stomach juices would likely break apart much of this small protein row. Western papers haven’t measured how much reaches your blood after a pill [15]. You’d be trusting guesses instead of good human tests.
How long could Epitalon stay in your blood?
No sound human study tells you Epitalon’s half-life. Half-life means the time a blood level takes to fall by half. Researchers expect blood to break this small protein row apart within minutes or a few hours, rather than days [15]. The idea comes from how blood handles small protein rows, but nobody measured it in people.
Araj’s 2025 review called the missing blood facts a major gap [15]. You don’t have much modern human safety work either. As of 2026, no Western human study shows how much Epitalon reaches blood or how long the amount lasts. I’d want those blood tests before trusting an amount claim.
Here’s the honest answer. A fast breakdown seems likely, but you don’t have good human tests proving it. Without those tests, you can’t compare pills, sprays, and shots with confidence. You also can’t know how long Epitalon stays active in your body.
Why can’t you trust Epitalon pill claims?
You’ll find that most animal tests put Epitalon beneath the skin [4][6][7][8]. Epithalamin reports used muscle shots [11]. Russian work used a nose spray. An eye report put Epitalon beside the eye [13].
Cell studies didn’t give Epitalon to people. Researchers tested it on loose cells [1][2][3]. A dish can’t show whether an amount or way of taking it is safe for you. Dish work isn’t home-use guidance.
Stomach juices would likely break the peptide apart. No PubMed dose study shows Epitalon works by mouth in people [15]. Pill claims can’t tell you how much would reach your blood. They also can’t settle harm.
Do the papers teach safe mixing or storage?
No. Epitalon has one small row of protein parts, without the bends found in some larger proteins. Researchers gave injections beneath the skin, into a muscle, into the belly, or beside the eye [15]. No human test tells you how much survives in your stomach.
Lab workers mixed Epitalon with water and then dried it into powder [15]. They added salt water again before an under-the-skin shot. Those are research steps, not safe directions for you. The papers also can’t show whether the product matches its label.
How long did the animal studies run?
You’ll find that some rodent tests ran through much of an animal’s life. Anisimov’s 2002 breast-tumor study used 5-day rounds each month [4]. A 2003 aging study used another 5-day round [6]. Vinogradova’s 2007 light study also used monthly rounds [10], and some plans continued for years.
Kossoy’s 2006 study treated mice on 5 days each week for six-and-a-half months [7]. Researchers saw fewer cancers, no spread, and no clear harm during that test. The monthly plan used 1 microgram per mouse each day and totaled about 60 micrograms across a year. A weekly plan totaled about 130 micrograms per mouse over six-and-a-half months [4][7].
Those totals don’t scale into a safe human amount. Long use didn’t give you a sure sign of longer life. Mice in the aging study had no rise in average lifespan after years of treatment [6]. Mixed animal results aren’t a sound reason to copy either plan.
